The Body

The body is a beautiful tool.
​It's a collection of food and water that you received from the earth

​It has evolved in such a way that you can effectively function in the society we live in today. 
Most of what is happening in your body is beyond your awareness.
Think about it...

" I did not think much of my body. I just wanted it to look nice but that was about it.
I did not think I had to work or think about maintaining it.
I did not eat my veggies, I skipped meals and ate lots of french fries 
​I considered my weekly partying the only exercise I needed.  I was wrong!

I found out how wrong I was when my blood pressure readings were 150/100 at age 31. 
I knew I was wrong when I would get consistent headaches I couldn't explain 
I knew I was wrong when I started having anxiety attacks 
I knew I was wrong when I fainted on my Fiance in the middle of paradise island, Barbados.
It was then I knew it was my responsibility to do something about it
​That was the beginning of my awakening, there is something wrong and it must be corrected."

How I learned to manage my body!

I listen to what my body tells me
I eat my fruits 
I eat my vegetables 
I threw the salt bottle away 
I drink more water 
No more sodas, limited caffeine
I limit my alcoholic drinks 
I rest as needed
No fast food
​No red meat
No unnecessary pills

I work out my body, doing what I enjoy: yoga, group exercises, hiking, skating, bike riding etc.
I use shea butter and coconut oil on my skin 
I stopped eating out and started cooking more 
No more cow milk just coconut milk 
I eat consciously 
I eat with awareness 
of what I am eating and how much I eat.  ​

This is what works for me.
I am only interested in what works and you should be too.
My body rewarded me graciously.
​NOW: 
My skin is smooth, soft and clear 
I don't have any random headaches 
I don't have anymore fainting spells
I have more stamina 
I am more flexible 
I have strong hair and nail growth 
I may get sick but not affected the same way as others 
I managed my blood pressure without any pills
​consistent days with below normal blood pressure readings.
I have more confidence than I could ever imagine having.
My body is mines NOW.
​It takes instructions from me NOW."
